Good Memories
After a long flight from Massachusetts to Arizona, Bob and I
were met at the Airport by Deb, her sister and all their families. We
were then taken to Debbie's home to spend time there during our first
visit.
Upon entering the home I was totally amazed and awed by the
artistic beauty and magnificent decor. Debbie and her husband were
very poor and had been having very difficult times financially so had
no money for household things. They barely made there food and rent
needs but their home was just beautiful.
We found out that Debbie had taken things that others had
thrown away and used her abilities artistically to refurbish them and
without spending anything made her home as beautiful as it was. She
always loved doing crafts was extremely talented and good at finding
beauty in other peoples "trash". While she was out driving if she spotted
things in someones garbage or cast away at the side of the road she
would take it home and do her magic. She saw beauty were no one
else could.
We will be putting pictures on Debbie's web site of her home in
Arizona later tody or tomorrow.
After we brought her back here to New England she started to do
the same in her new apartment until she got to sick.
I've never met anyone else who was as talented as Debbie in this
way.
I will always treasure the memories of that visit in Arizona with
Debbie. To spend time with her before she got too sick was truly a
blessing.
With great pride I invite everyone to see those pictures of her
home in Arizona as soon as we get them uploaded. I'll send out an
e-mail and let everyone know when thay are on her site.
Were so proud of you Debbie for your life, for your courageous
battle against Cancer and for being part of our lives. I'm still so proud
to be called Debbie's Mom.
